Terms of service

These terms apply when you book a tour or rent a motorcycle through AH3 Travel. Your written booking confirmation lists the details of your trip. If it differs from these terms, the confirmation applies.

Who operates your trip

Trips in China are operated by Xinjiang Linghang Tianxia International Travel Agency, a licensed travel agency. Trips in Southeast Asia are operated by RIDE MARVEL Co., Ltd., Thailand.

Prices

Each route page shows what the price includes and excludes. Listed route prices are based on a group of 10 motorcycles, and the price per person changes with the number of motorcycles. Your booking confirmation states your final price.

Your responsibilities

• Hold a valid passport and visa, and a home driving licence that covers the vehicle you will ride.
• Give us accurate documents and information on time. Permits depend on them.
• Follow Chinese traffic law and your tour leader’s safety instructions.
• Bring your own helmet and riding gear.
• Be fit enough for the route you choose, including high altitude on Tibet routes.

Rental motorcycles

The deposit is CNY 10,000 for motorcycles up to 800 cc (CNY 5,000 for the Honda CC110) and CNY 20,000 for motorcycles over 800 cc, paid at pick-up. When you return the motorcycle, we refund 50% straight away. We check the other 50% against any traffic violations and refund it, minus any fines, within 7 working days. If there are no violations, we refund it as quickly as we can. You are responsible for traffic fines during your rental.

Changes to the itinerary

Weather, road conditions, local rules and permit decisions can change a route. For safety, the tour leader may adjust the itinerary while keeping the main experience where possible. Distances are approximate.

Insurance

Each route page and rental page states what insurance is included. We recommend your own travel insurance with medical and evacuation cover that includes motorcycle riding and high altitude.

Payment and cancellation

We take a 30% deposit three months before the planned trip, 50% once we start making bookings, and the remaining 20% before departure. See our cancellation and refund policy for what you get back if you cancel.
